How do I change my business details, bank account or tax ID?
Edit your business contact details, legal name, EIN, owners and bank account from the Business Information page.
Open Account, choose Account Information, then Edit business info. The Business Information page has a card for each part: 1. Basic Information, 2. Legal Information, 3. Owners & Officers, 4. Business Size and 5. Banking Details. The page notes "Changes may require re-verification."
Basic information
Choose Edit Basic Information to change the Business Email, Business Phone, the address (Address Line 1, Address Line 2 (Optional), City, State, ZIP Code), your Website or Online Presence (or tick "I don't have a website or online presence") and an optional Business Description. Choose Save Changes.
Legal name and tax ID
Choose Edit Legal Information to change:
- Business Legal Name, and an optional DBA (Doing Business As).
- Incorporation Date.
- Business Tax ID (EIN). On the Business Information page it is shown with all but the last four digits hidden.
- Business Type (for example Limited Liability Company, Corporation or Individual Sole Proprietorship) and Ownership Type (Public or Private).
The page warns: "Changing your EIN or Business Type may require re-verification with Finix. This process typically takes 1-3 business days."
Lawnly does not accept the sign-up placeholders such as "Lawn Business"; enter your real details.
Bank account
Under Banking Details, choose Edit Banking Details. For security, the saved account is never shown. Updating it means entering everything again: Account Type (Checking or Savings), Account Holder Name, Account Number and Routing Number. Choose Update Bank Account. The new account replaces the old one. Only bank accounts in the United States are accepted.
Owners and re-verification
Manage Owners lists the owners and officers with their title and share, with Add Owner and Edit. The primary owner cannot be removed. If you changed something that needs re-verification, use Re-verify with Finix at the top of the Business Information page.
Your own name, phone and email
Account Information also holds your own name, phone number and text-message preference. Your sign-in email "cannot be changed. It's tied to your account login." See How do I sign in, reset my password or change my email?.
