How do I add or change the card I pay Lawnly with?
Add a card during your trial, replace the card on file, or add one after your trial ends, from the Account page.
Open Account. Your plan card is near the top, and Subscription has the same card on its own page. The buttons depend on where your plan is: during the trial you add a card, once you are paying you update it, and after the trial ends you add one to keep going. The plan and its price are covered in Your 14-day trial and the Lawnly plan.
During your free trial
The card says how many days are left and when the trial ends. With no card on file you have two choices:
- Add card — $0 today: you keep the rest of your trial. The window says when your card is first charged (the day the trial ends) and that it is charged monthly after that. You can cancel before then.
- Start subscription now: your card is charged today and the rest of the trial is skipped.
Cancel Trial is also on the Subscription page.
Replace the card you pay with
When your subscription is active, choose Update Card. "Your new card replaces the one on file. If your subscription is active nothing is charged until your next renewal; if a payment failed, we retry the charge now." Cancel Subscription is next to it.
After your trial ended or you cancelled
Lawnly shows "Your free trial has ended" or "Your subscription has ended", with "Everything you set up is saved" and a card form. Enter the card and choose Add card — pay … today. The card is charged straight away and your subscription starts. See What do I do if my trial ended or a payment failed?.
If the card is refused
The form explains why, such as a declined card, not enough funds, an expired card or a wrong security code. Try another card.
On the mobile app
The app does not show prices or a way to subscribe. Add or change the card on lawnly.com, then reopen the app.
