How do I build and send a quote?

Pick a customer and property, add services and prices, choose how to send it, and send or save a draft.

Open the customer and choose Send Quote, or use Create in the sidebar, choose Quote, pick the customer ("Who is this quote for?") and choose Continue. Add the property, the services and their prices, choose how to send it, and choose Send Quote. To finish later, choose Save Draft instead.

Choose the property

Under Property Address, pick one of the customer's addresses, or choose Add New Property to enter a new one. The quote is for that property, and its lawn size appears below (see Measure a lawn for a quote). Tax is worked out from the property address; Enter manually lets you type it instead.

Add services and prices

Under Services & Pricing, search your saved items or type a new one, then set the quantity and the unit price. Each line can have its own service date. A new item you type can be saved for next time.

The quote total must be at least $20.00. You can also enter a Discount.

Photos and files

Under Photos & documents (optional), Add photos puts pictures in the quote the customer sees, and Add files attaches PDFs or other documents for them to download.

Choose how to send it

Under Notification Method, tick Send Email, Send Text Message, or both. Texts need a phone number and the customer's consent; until then the text option says "Customer not opted in — edit customer to attest". The customer gets a link where they can view the quote, accept it, ask for changes or decline it.

Add a message and options

The Additional Message appears in the email and on the customer's quote page, up to 1,000 characters. Require a card on file to accept makes the customer add a card before accepting; when it is off, they can accept right away and add a card later.

Send or save

Send Quote sends it. Save Draft keeps your progress without sending; the draft shows in the customer's Quotes list as "Draft · click to resume". You can build and save quotes before you are verified, but sending needs a verified business. If a quote will not send, see Why a quote will not send.
