What happens when a customer accepts a quote?
An accepted quote becomes a job, and your team is notified. See how to change that, and what declines and change requests do.
The quote shows as Accepted, and by default Lawnly creates a job from it. Your admins and managers are notified. You can turn the automatic job off and create jobs yourself.
The job Lawnly creates
One job with the status New, holding the quote's services. Its price is the quote total after any discount. It uses the quote's property, and the quote's service date if it has one, so it shows on the Calendar.
The job is unassigned unless Assign jobs automatically is on (Business tab, Routing & automation). Then it goes to the crew member with the fewest active jobs.
Choose whether a job is created
On the Business tab, under Jobs & crew, Create a job when a quote is accepted is on by default. When it is off, the quote is still marked Accepted: open it from the customer's page and choose Create job. If the quote already has a job, Lawnly says so and does not make a second one.
Who is told
Every active admin and manager gets a notification when a quote is sent, first viewed and accepted, in the notification feed and by push or email depending on their settings. Under Quote activity notifications (same Jobs & crew section) you can choose up to 5 team members to be emailed when a customer accepts or declines a quote, or adds a card on the quote page.
If the customer asks for changes or declines
On their quote page the customer can Accept quote, Request changes or Decline.
- Changes requested. The quote stays open and shows "Changes requested", with their note. Send a revised quote; the original stays in their history.
- Declined. The quote shows as denied.
The first time the customer opens a pending quote, your team is told it was viewed, once.
Cards
If you turned on Require a card on file to accept, the customer adds a card before accepting. Otherwise adding a card is optional; the page offers it after they accept.
