How do I find, edit or archive a customer?

Search the customer list, change a customer's details, or archive a customer you no longer serve.

Open the Customers tab. Type in Search customers... to find someone, select a customer to open them, and use Edit Customer to change their details. Delete Customer archives them, and archiving also cancels their open jobs.

Find a customer

The search box matches a customer's name, email and any of their addresses, including extra properties. It does not search phone numbers. The page-size menu shows 10, 25, 50 or 100 rows. "needs email" and "needs phone" mark customers missing a way to reach them, and the Billing column shows whether a card is on file.

Edit a customer

  1. Open the customer and choose Edit Customer.
  2. Change the fields: First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, Address Line 1 and 2, City, State, Zip, County and Property Type. When the customer has a phone number, the text opt-in tile is here too.
  3. Choose Save Changes.

First name, last name and email are required on this form, so a customer saved with only a phone number needs an email before you can save changes. Extra properties are listed under Other Properties. On the customer's page, Add Email stores extra email addresses.

Archive a customer

  1. Open the customer and choose Delete Customer.
  2. Confirm. The message says this archives the customer and they will no longer appear in your list.

Archiving also cancels that customer's open jobs (New, Scheduled or In Progress), although the message does not say so. Completed jobs are not changed. To archive several customers, choose Edit above the list, tick them, and choose Delete.

There is no way to bring an archived customer back, so archive only when you are sure.
