How do I add another property for a customer?

A customer can have several addresses. Add one from the customer page and, if you like, map the lawn.

Open the customer on the Customers tab and choose Add Property. Enter the address, pick Residential or Commercial, then either save it or open the map to outline the lawn. You can also use Create in the sidebar and choose Property, which asks for the customer first.

Add a property

  1. Search for the address and pick a full street address, or choose Enter Address Manually and fill in the street, city, state and ZIP.
  2. Choose the property type.
  3. Choose Save without map to keep just the address, or View Perimeter to see the lawn on a satellite map and save it from there.

An address can belong to only one customer in your business. If you enter one that is already on file, Lawnly tells you whether it is already on this customer or on another customer.

See and edit a property

The customer page lists Properties with Address, City, State, ZIP and Lawn (square feet). The customer's own address carries a Main badge. Select a row to see its details:

  • Mowable area and Perimeter.
  • Perimeter source, such as No perimeter, Auto-detected, Drawn or Edited.
  • Location: Verified when the address was found on the map, Needs review when the address and the map point disagree, Pending when it has not been checked yet.

Choose Edit Property to change the address or type, or to adjust the lawn map.

Remove a property

Choose Edit Customer and look under Other Properties: each extra property has an edit and a delete button. A property that has jobs cannot be deleted; delete or move those jobs first. The main address is not listed there.

Where properties are used

When you build a quote, you pick which of the customer’s addresses it is for.
