How do I create my Lawnly account?

Sign up with your email and a 6-digit code, answer a few questions, and your free trial starts on its own.

You create an account with your email address and a 6-digit code we send you. There is no password to invent and no card to enter. When you finish, your business is set up and your free trial has already started.

What you will be asked

Sign-up is a short chat, on the website and in the mobile app. It asks, one question at a time:

  1. Your name.
  2. Your business name.
  3. The best phone number to reach you.
  4. Whether we may text you offers and tips. Yes or no are both fine; you do not need to agree to texts to use Lawnly.
  5. That you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. This one is required.
  6. Your email address. This is your login.
  7. The 6-digit code we email you.
  8. How you heard about Lawnly.

You do not enter your business address, tax ID or bank details here. Those come later, when you get verified.

About the 6-digit code

Type the code from the email into the chat. It only works for a short time and for a few tries. If it does not work or has expired, tap Resend code and use the new one. If you typed the wrong address, tap Change email. If the email never arrives, check your spam folder.

If you already have an account

If you enter an email that already has a Lawnly account, the chat says so and signs you in to that account. You do not get a second one.

What happens right after

Your account and business are created, and your 14-day free trial starts automatically. See How the trial works.

The chat then asks two quick settings questions: whether Lawnly should charge a customer's saved card automatically when a job is done, and, when there is no card to charge, whether it should email the customer the invoice right away. You can answer yes or no, or choose Skip these settings. You can change both later on the Business tab, under Invoicing & payments.

Next comes a card about your trial. Continue with free trial keeps going without a card; Add card now lets you add one (in the app, it opens lawnly.com).

Finally you land in Lawnly. If Lawnly's assistant is on for your business, the chat hands you over to it with a few suggestions, or you can choose Go to my dashboard. A good next step is Your first hour.

If sign-up looks different

If you see a form that asks for an email and a password instead of the chat, fill in that form. Your trial starts the same way, and the rest of this article still applies once you are in.
